Exceptions are granted in areas of technical knowledge (e.g., physics, computer science) or, in the case of literature, when the recommendation comes from a trusted source (e.g., Kazuo Ishiguro).

The listed books are in no particular order and with the understanding that life will get in the middle.
There will not be a checkmark next to every single item when December 2024 comes around.
