### hardware and apps

I use a MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) with the Apple M1 Pro chip and 16 gigs of RAM. It’s connected to a 34-inch curved monitor, an [Apple Magic Keyboard](https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MQ052LL/A/magic-keyboard-with-numeric-keypad-us-english?fnode=9b5b8ab65fecf033923bd3baf4f4ec12537f05a19411e060cf36eb07ea7a422de82169bd4c6b2276d0576bc08a1e1a79a744bc977a89c16b948befe8c84e5428b65ce3e9fb884d5f50a4a13235da3d19153deb4df21c5586244375c6bdd7b054&ref=arrieta.io) (with keypad), and a [Microsoft Surface Precision mouse](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/d/surface-precision-mouse/8qc5p0d8ddjt?activetab=pivot%3Aoverviewtab&ref=arrieta.io). Everything is silver(ish) so it feels congruent and simple.

**hosting**. This site is hosted at DreamHost with their Basic VPS hosting plan (1GB RAM, 30GB SSD storage).

**cms**. I use WordPress.

**font**. [lato](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lato%5F%28typeface%29?ref=arrieta.io) and [poppins](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Poppins?ref=arrieta.io). I like clean sans-serif fonts and the single-storey “a”.
